You're over six times more likely to die from it in Australian hospitals than in Cypriot, Paphitis...

Death Rate of infected:
Australia: 3.24%
Cyprus: 0.52%

The stats speak for themselves! Also I’ve noticed that Australia has stopped reporting data to the WHO for over a month. Methinks your government is concealing data.

And not to mention this FAIL...

Err. no we are not.

We haven't had a death in weeks now. Not even a single patient in intensive care.

You are talking about over 2 months ago when there was a massive outbreak in Victoria that infiltrated the old aged care facilities and killed about 750 over 80 years olds predominantly.

Out real death rate in the community is pretty much non existent. Our hospitals don't have any COVID cases in intensive care. Most of our cases are isolated in what we call med hotels as they are mostly recent arrivals from overseas (Australian expats)

We would have no cases if we were not bringing Australian Citizens back home. It's virtually been wiped out.

Our only risk is if the virus escapes the medi hotels out into the community. It has happened twice. Once in Victoria resulting in about 10000 COVID cases in the community which eventually got eliminated, and again in Adelaide when a security guard spread the virus to about 23 people in the community which was also quickly eliminated.

Today, no community transmission at all unless there is another escape.

But get Real. I am very worried. 627 cases mate. You guys are in deep shit!

You are outdoing America!

We got a good Government over here mate. Strong and decisive in everything it does. If there is an outbreak, the place gets locked down in no time. No one gets in and no one gets out.

Now if it does escape again, we could be in some trouble. we are getting very complacent down here. no one wearing masks, going to pubs, restaurants and no one seems to be socially distancing very much.

Reason is, we don't have it in the community so everyone is getting cocky.

If the virus escapes again, then it will probably spread, but the same thing will happen again. Government will shut everything down, till the incubation period is over.

Then we start again, probably get cocky once again and so on and so on.

But one thing is 100%. Our Government is very much in control and prepared to make tough decisions and turn our country into a prison.

The other thing the crafty Aussies are doing is that they are testing all our sewerage treatment plants and taking samples from main pipes.

they believe they can detect small traces of COVID from our skata.

And what they are doing it is tracking it to certain locations and suburbs if there is a positive, and they lock those areas down.

We are talking about road blocks and all. Police everywhere. Sometimes Army as well.

The whole world is on a Covid surge, yet Australia… nothing! :?

Don’t you find that a little odd?

Unless of course the country's borders have been closed for two months, while you went on about how many planes were landing!

I have a theory.

We are at war with Chy-na. Just saying!

About our planes. Our borders are actually closed to international arrivals. there are still some international flights bringing Aussie Expats home from Europe, Asia and America.

But they leave empty apart from carrying Australian Export goods.

Airport Traffic across the country is down by a lot. Airports on;y have a fraction of the traffic. Those of us still flying are only flying at anywhere between 15 to 35% of our max hours.

Some companies are now rostering 2 on and 2 off.

You see Paphitis, between your corrupt government and your frequent forum lies it’s a little difficult to make any sense out of it...

Our Government is great. Running a wave of popularity.

We are doing ok down here Get Real. for now. We had a scary situation in Victoria a while back, but the authorities were pretty damn quick to bring it under control.

Here is another one for you to ponder. apparently we are in a trade war with Chy-na. yet our economy has gone in over drive.

BTW, I didn't say landing and airport traffic is at massive levels in Australia. It isn't.

Aviation is probably running around 20 to 30% at the moment.

We do have international flights, but only Australian citizens can come. If you are not an Australian Citizen or a permanent resident, you want get through the border. Those who get through, due to their Aussie Citizenship or residency status, are taken to medi hotels for mandatory quarantine. You can't go home or see loves ones or family, except through a glass window or waving at them from a distance as the Government transports them to quarantine.

Also, we are not allowed to travel overseas. Only way to get out is if you have a dam good reason and you need to be approved. Otherwise, if you hold a foreign citizenship, or permanent residency, you can rock up and tell the authorities you are leaving Australia permanent;y. You have to sign a document to that effect. Also means, that if there is an outbreak and you want to come home, the Aussie Government won't go out of its way to bring you home.

Medi Hotels are also secure facilities with security guards.

It's the only country we can travel to.
