I read that the loo roll shortage had it origins in South Korea. A Rumour (conspiracy theory? ) got around that all wood pulp production was being diverted to the manufacture of face masks. So, everybody rushed off to stock up on bog rolls, as you would. Seems it spread a lot quicker than any virus. :D

Oh OK, the zombie apocalypse just got real.

This is what is happening down under.

2 women charged because they got into a brawl in a supermarket aisle over the last pack of toilet paper. :?

A pack of 24 rolls of soft toilet paper was put on EBay for 900 AUD.

Tere is no more bread, flower and canned tuna has run out in the supermarket aisles.

I mean gee whiz, how are these people going to survive a war like the Europeans did in WW2? :?

I don't know, but people are just a bit thick if you ask me... :?

I really feel sorry for the elderly pensioners who will go to the supermarkets looking for their necessities and won't find what they need. It's times like these you really do see the worse in people.

I am still not convinced that caronavirus is all that serious, but hey, I could be wrong.

A certain member ridiculed me some time ago because I suggested it was a good idea to be prepared in advance for just the eventuality we see now. He called me a ‘Prepper’ which is the equivalent of being a Conspiracy Theorist because we have always had a supply of essentials not just bog roll but rice, pasta, tin food, medicines, diesel fuel etc, (all the essentials?) and we maintain a full freezer (also for economy). We use our stock in rotation and replenish as needed .............. so I don’t need to ‘ ....... panic buy’.

I was right again because us useless old fogies are smart and have the ability to look a bit further down the road than the younger generations and we anticipate what could happen. And that's not just when it comes to shopping!
I am still not convinced that COronavirus is all that serious, but hey, I could be wrong.

YOU WRONG? :o Never .... you are always right .... even when you are wrong! :)

After thought ...... you could actually be right! It all comes down to how the outbreak was managed. China were quick to respond because that is possible in a totalitarian State ....... and the MSM descended upon them and turned it into a political issue. That is what caused the panic .... because the population believed the hype of the MSM .... not the facts about the virus itself.

China acted quickly?

They actually tried to cover everything up initially. Hence, they contributed to the global outbreak.

But here is a conspiracy for you!

Caronavirus is an American Biological Attack against China. It was the Americans who invented the virus in 1990.

Go USA!

It was American made, and American released in order to destroy China's economy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just hope the family doesn’t have the case of the runs, or else T-18 will go down really fast.

I can see Paphitis stuffing couple of toilet paper rolls into his chart case from each hotel he stays overnight when flying. :D
