I wish I could post what I really think of the Turkish economy and the real reasons for it's rapid demise but I'm genuinely scared of the repercussions. I mean look at the reality of the situation I find myself in. Here I am posting on a GC forum with total freedom of speech. I call GC's cunts, murderers, motherfuckers, and much more with nothing to fear. I have met some of the GC's on here and if they wanted to hurt me for my comments it wouldn't take long for them to find me and hospitalise me.

And yet, I'm shit scared to say anything to criticise a dictator 2000 miles away from me. What a cunt

You just did! :D

I talked to my twin sister in Turkey yesterday which I reinforced my position that I will not come to Turkey as long as Erdogan is in office so for her not to die requiring me to come to her funeral. :D

Ah but I thought long and hard before I posted this. You see Kicks, for anyone to take offence to my post they would have to accept the fact that they are a dictator and a cunt. I'm confident I would escape any series repercussions even in a Turkish court of law 8) 8) 8) :D

...Qatar comes to mind what with the 20 Billion they have given already to Turkey. Let's also remember that Qatar has invested heavily in Turkish arms.

Given their position against the rest of the Arab world (excluding Iran), war on this front is a distraction which may be a consideration on this subject.

...how far is Qatar willing to prop up Turkey's economy, how far is Turkey willing to take the "Brotherhood's" fight?

Then upload the file to the internet for all to see, using your browser. Will there be any "incriminating" evidence?

If yes, then its crap for dumpsters like me as well as Turkish YouTuber's!

In the West a court of law requires that guilt be proven beyond any reasonable doubt and since there’s no way for a prosecutor to prove that you are the actual uploader of the video if you have used a private browser (that either deletes or does not keep any activity logs) then that’s half the way to exoneration won!

Although you and I may not care about special protection as we lead normal uneventful lives, the bottom line is that activists and such would be well advised to familiarize themselves with Internet privacy tools if they are to remain at large.

I used to receive Police PDF files sent from a legal office, that were between 20-30 pages long describing the detailed step-by-step process that the police used in extracting Internet user activity from the accused’s confiscated computer.

This is how far modern courts (prosecutors) will go in getting convictions for cybercrime… in extreme detail so there can be no doubt of guilt. They leave nothing at chance so my job of trying to fault them was very difficult.

...if you are Turkish living in Turkey, i bet you are fucked just for having such a browser; your debate may be valid in a country with a Rule of Law, but not in a country like Turkey, today. Let's try and remember who the "Turks" are, and how the Turkish People themselves have been torn apart by the dogmas like "Turkishness" that exclude everything else, as "others" an adversary. While i try to be helpful, i can see how my comments have pissed off some of the papers i have commented in, not published, and/or banned, but i suspect it is more complicated than that.

...indeed, i am seriously considering your Browser, GR. I may get a laptop second hand for cheap, just to try it.

No need for other hardware, it works fine under Windows 10.

You are not answering the question, or it just hasnt clicked yet.

The video itself is "incriminating" evidence if it records someone perpetrating a crime, regardless of who or where or how it was uploaded to the internet.

The point here is that you said the Turkish YouTuber would avoid prosecution if he used your browser to upload the video. But the video, which is now in the public domain clearly shows him "perpetrating a crime".

I don’t think it’s illegal to interview people in Turkey so the video itself is not incriminating.

What’s not tolerated is what the following lines from the report, reveal...

“Erdoğan over the weekend warned that social media was “the main threat to democracy,” and his government has vowed to crack down harder on what it calls “disinformation’’ on the internet.

New legislation would make the dissemination of “disinformation” and “fake news” criminal offences punishable by up to five years in prison, according to Turkish media reports.”

In other words, what you post (upload) to the Internet and thus make public, is what Erdo and his chums have a problem with.

The action that got the YouTubers into trouble wasn’t the PRODUCTION of the video but making it PUBLIC!

we know interviewing people is not illegal, or a crime, but he was arrested for it.

stranger things can happen in Turkey and in other Orwellian authoritarian regimes.

if he kept the video to himself and didn't make it public, he wouldn't be much of an "activist" would he?

but the video "incriminated" him and it wouldnt make any difference what browser he used.
