4 months and 8 days

Postby MR-from-NG » Mon Jun 14, 2021 9:41 pm

That’s how long I was hospitalised for after contracting Covid. I’m having to learn how to breathe, how to swallow and how to walk. Can’t fly until I’m reassessed in six months as Covid has caused extensive damage to my lungs.
I suffered cardiac arrest after coming out of my 20 day coma. Let me tell you, COVID is for real and I don’t wish it on anybody. I hope Cyprusgrump reads this and will protect himself from this unforgiving virus.
I was hospitalised on 27th of January. I came to in an ICU room with a male nurse by my side. I noticed a whiteboard on the wall that said Patients preferred name which said Mustang Mitch, it then said You are being cared for by Martin and then 14.4.2021. I said to Martin is the date correct on that? He confirmed it was. I told him I was in fact 68 not 67 as I had told him a few minutes ago as my birthday is in March

Covid is very real my dear friends, please take good care of yourselves.

Gecmiş olsun Gardaş

Those who claim it does not exist or is not real must have a brain the size of a pea.

I have always applied the Scientists' advice and have had the two vaccines, but I still apply my social distance and mask wearing till it is blatantly obvious it has gone.

Welcome back.

...funny that; coming to, and as a first thought correcting the error in your age, from a tragic coincidence, jokingly to the nurse: quite a story.

Get Better Soon.

Cheers!

Most unfortunate... I wonder if you have any clue as to how/where you caught it.

All I can do is hope for a speedy recovery and happier times ahead, Mitch.

Quite an experience MR, almost mirroring the experience my brother went through with Covid last year in the UK, about the same age too. Wishing you a speedy recovery my friend. Although it took months for my brother to fully recover which he now has 100%, you will also. I had especial interest in the date you had posted as it was my birthday!

While we are on the subject of Covid and the punishment it can cause on the body to some who have come close to dying from it, I often think about B25 who hasn’t posted for over a year now, who too had severe problems from Covid. Does anyone know how he is?

Welcome back MR. :D

Sorry to hear all that Mitch. I wish you a very speedy and full recovery.

You will eventually regain your strength as the body recovers from the terrible onslaught of Covid.

Very good point there Kikapu.

I hope B25 is ok. He just went quiet all of a sudden and he did say he caught Covid.
