Another European football evening is fast approaching and tonight we have the interesting 2nd leg encounters of last week including...

07:45 - AEK Larnaca vs Fenerbahçe

The political match of the evening that was sold out by noon! Hundreds of TCs were today at the Larnaca airport to greet their beloved Fener as they landed, and many more are expected to show up at the AEK Arena tonight. I expect someone to pull out a "TRNC" flag or two, and cause a familiar scene.

07:45 - Apollon Limassol vs AZ Alkmaar

Yes well… Zenon should tell us all about this match! Where are you boy?

10:00 - Manchester United vs AC Omonia

United fans are not happy that they only managed a slim win last week (2-3) so tonight they’re hoping for a goal fiesta at home… and they may well get one if Omonia capitulates. Around 5K Brit-GCs are expected to attend the match to lend the Cypriot side a hand.

Apollon is out as Omonia. The only hope is AEK, but in Conference, not Europe League.

By the way, good performance by Keravnos in the first Europe Cup basket game :D

European matches tonight:

7:45pm - AEK Larnaca vs Dynamo Kyiv

A win or a draw will send AEK to the conference league… for whatever that’s worth! I guess easier competition and more European games to watch.

10:00pm - AC Omonia vs Real Sociedad

Can Omonia pull off a draw or a marginal win? It should be entertaining to watch.

10:00pm - Dnipro-1 vs Apollon Limassol

I’ve lost faith in this year’s Apollon… if these mugs beat us at home then what’s there to look forward to on their ground?

I must admit it’s gonna be tricky for me to watch much football tonight as wife’s 2nd day all-women birthday party takes precedence in the house and I’ve been appointed as the evening’s reluctant servant! :?

When my spoiled-rotten wife has a birthday it usually runs for three days… the first is for family and neighbors, the second is for her friends and colleagues, and the last for any odds and sods that may come along!

Tomorrow’s European matches (3rd Nov)

Alright, these are the last Group Stage matches in what’s been a pretty mediocre performance by our teams:

7:45pm - Sheriff Tiraspol vs AC Omonia

Omonia, had better show some of that Old Trafford spirit and kick these mug’s arses like they deserve! Getting beaten by them at the GSP was a total embarrassment!

7:45pm - Apollon Limassol vs Vaduz

Apollon’s easiest match left for last. There’s no reason why Apollon can’t get a comfortable WIN TO NIL here for the thus far disappointed fans. Don’t screw up again Apollon!

10:00pm - Rennes vs AEK Larnaca

A pretty hard opponent… French Rennes has proven to be a tough cookie for CY level of football so I think the best we can expect here is a draw, unless of course Rennes; having already qualified, choose not to field their top players.
