I'm not the expert in here but think that the ability to delete your post, just like editing it, is time limited.

I have a post from 500 years ago which (stupid of me back then) exposes my full name, email and phone number. Am I doomed to live the rest of my life with that??

You can send a private message to Admin, and they will do it for you. Except that Admin seems to be too busy which is why we need a second Admin.
