copy games

Anybody knows were I can buy cheap (2-3 pounds) copy PC and x-box games in Limassol? I know some places but you have to order them and wait 1-2 days to bring them and it cost 5 pounds per game. Thats too expensive for a copy game on a 30 cent DVD !

I seem to get games before all the pirates do in Larnaca. I download them from the internet and just burn them onto cd/dvd. I can point you out in the right direction for downloading the games but buying them, have no idea. I just go to the market on Dekhelia rd on Sundays and have a look there first.

From where you download them? I use emule and BitTorrent but it takes some days to download a complete game.

I also use BitTorrent (piratebay.org and newnova.org) as my sources. I tend to leave my computer on 24/7 to keep the downloads going.

ONLY in Cyprus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is wrong with buying originals?
People spend hours to design them. Don't you think is fair to reward them for their effort?

nope.

When the prices are at a reasonable level, then that is one thing, but for as long as sky high prices are given to software titles, then no, rewarding them isn't an option.

Leonida you are absolutely right couldn't have find a better argument myself :)
The truth is that most of us (including me) are legitimate only out of fear of being caught. If we know our action won't have any bad consequences especially on us then it's a matter of morality if we go ahead and do it.
With computers and software it's even easier: not only you are not caught but it's easy to overlook or ignore the harm you're doing.

Fair enough, you have morals, I have principles.

Why don t you steal cars too. After all they are way too expensive there.

The point is.
IF everyone paid their share for the games/software the prices WILL be less.
Unfortunetly with all the piracy the honest ones are the ones who pay the price.
Then again what can I say. Even music CDs with Greek or GC artist are sold illegally in Cyprus. I have not seen this done anywhere else. Maybe in another third world contry, like in Asia and such. But in Europe???

We should be really proud in Cyprus. Shouldn't we?
