Child Killer in the Dock.

This is a very interesting news item not for the actual murders or the murderer but just how stupid the KC lawyers are these days. You cannot believe what you read.

She was questioned sixty hours and still they could not get to the motive. Why did she do it?

And yet she did give them a clue but they missed it.

She claimed she looked at the Facebook pages of the parents of the children she looked after.
Clearly whatever she saw in them made her decide to kill their child. They did not look to see if there was a common theme in Parents' lifestyle or happiness. She claimed it was standard thing for her to check out Facebook pages of the parents.
They also did not ask the nurses around her if they also looked at Facebook pages of the parents.

It looks to me like she saw the parents happy and wanted to kill their happiness.

The prosecution achieved quite a clearcut conviction, on the basis of a forensic examination of the evidence. Not really that stupid.

Nobody’s obtained a motive because Letby has never admitted her guilt. Although, several possibilities have been suggested.

The article you link to (British Bullshit Corporation?) barely mentions Facebook. Then, not in the context you state. Other articles which do, point to her FB searches taking place after the death of the babies. Sometimes years later. Not searches for victims as you suggest.

If there’s a “stupid” element it surely belongs to the NHS and hospital senior management, who appear to have discounted the mounting evidence of her activities. Even on one occasion apparently insisting on her accuser(s) issuing an apology.

Sorry L, but yet another example of your compulsion to post on a wide range of issues which you simply haven’t bothered to look into/understand. :?

Hope you enjoyed your stay in Paradise. I’ve been busy visiting some of the Swine here in Swineland during your absence.

Asked about the Facebook searches she made for the babies' parents she replied: "That was a normal pattern of behaviour for me."

And asked about taking nursing documents home with her, and storing them? "That was a normal pattern of behaviour for me," she said.

The prosecution should have queried these two facts and asked other nurses if they ever did such things or did they know of anybody else doing such things.

This would have finally got to the motive of why and how she did what she did. Certainly the prosecution got a conviction but that gives no closure to the parents who have no idea why she picked on their children.

Another fact is the clinicians asked the mangers to remove the nurse and they were refused by the management on the grounds of no evidence. Surely suspicion of so many more deaths during the watch of one nurse should have been sufficient evidence in itself. Remove her and look, put her on garden leave and then for evidence afterwards.

I know it is easy in hindsight. Clearly they learnt nothing of value from the Shipman case.

Medical evidence.

The evidence against here is tight. She is not coming out of jail in a hurry.
