History is history right ?
What difference does it make where it originated from, or what country it's in?
You're just trying to take a cheap shot at Turkey.

When they refer to the ancients of that area they should call it Asia Minor. Those ancients are not related to the Turks in any way. They didn't design them, they didn't build them, they didn't pay taxes to build them, they were not even there when those things were created by others. They simply conquered them.

Territories throughout history have been conquered all the time.
It makes no difference what you call it , whether its "Asia Minor" or "Turkey" it's the same thing.
You're creating a mountain out of a molehill, just for the sake of causing dissent.

The territory is the same but you can not say that those ancients are Turkish, in the same way somebody can not say that the ancients of the Minoan civilization are Greek. Those ancients are Cretan and Minoan, but not Greek. The same goes for Turkey.

Nobody said they were Turkish, just that they are located in Turkey.

OK. But what do you think was the purpose of this film?

I believe the purpose was to present Turks as having a culture and a civilization very close to the European one. They showed a lot more European and Cristian monuments (unrelated to the Turks) than anything truly Turkish/Muslim. Don't you think that this is very misleading?

I believe the purpose of the film is to promote tourism, more like a brochure of what Turkey has to offer. People like myself, when I see a monument that looks interesting I'd like to go visit and have a look with my own eyes. Do you really think the video was meant to be used for such a purpose as trying to show that "Turkey is European" ?

Even when looking at the ancient Greek historical sites and temples, to me personally they give off more of a mythological, rather than european presence; which is a good thing for me because I find mythology interesting heheh.

I don't feel as if they are trying to promote their "european-ism" at all.
