No Claims Bonus

Postby VEX8 » Sun Feb 12, 2006 3:38 pm

Can anyone tell me if Cypriot Motor Insurers recognise No Claims Discounts earned whilst driving in other EU countries or will i have to start all over again?

Or indeed do you have No Claims Discounts?

I know i can probably find the answers for myself somewhere on the net but to be honest i really can't be arsed.

Ta.

From the experience of a friend who re-insured his car recently, I don't think it makes any difference, but no harm in trying.

Here we have the opposide: Claims penalties. If you have no claims then it means you pay the normal amount. If you have claims you pay more.

Just FYI,

No claims bonus certificates from outside the EU are also recognised.

Saved me an absolute bundle when it was time to insure my car...
