Does Cyprus have a large gay community?? I knew one Cypriot boy who claimed he was straight although we knew he would have sex with gay guys - he felt if he was 'giving it' and not 'receiving 'he wasnt gay which we thought was extremely funny and stupid

I have a married Cypriot friend who has done the same, and thinks in the same way, for the life of me I just can't understand how he can get "it" up for another guy???

I agree. Unfortunately our society is not mature enough and gay guys get screwed!

Cyprus will take a long time to finally accept (for need of a better word) the gay community. The younger crowd are coming round but the older Cypriots find it incomprehensable. Look at the UK, back in the late 1800's Oscar Wilde was imprisoned for being gay now you can have a gay partnership recognised by the State and the Law with the same rights as a hetrosexual marriage.
