Just read on the BBC website that Japan has made a remake of the cult classic Monkey. They've stuck as close to the orginal as possible, yes, flying cloud, shrinking staff hidden in ear. Cool

Does anyone else remember watching this on BBC2 weekdays around 7pm, or is it just me with the wasted childhood???

Over here i get Men and Motors on my freeview box and guess what they've just started showing ?? Yup, Monkey.

Absolutely fantastic show..piss poor acting and dubbing, crap special effects, story line ??? Where??

But brilliant none the less. I'm also watching Space 1999.

There's always a fear in revisiting the TV of our 'childhood' in that we find that the shows we really loved and remember fondly are in fact a load of pants and the memory is ruined.

A couple of years ago i bought the complete Saphire and Steel on DVD (remember that show, spooky sci-fi with Joanna Lumley and David McCallum) but as yet i haven't opened it because of the above reasons.
