Straw's shit stirring

Postby Agios Amvrosios » Wed Feb 22, 2006 3:12 am

Does any believe that Straw's visit and whining in parlianment had a bona fide purpose? Nobody is as Stupid as straw is asking us to believe he is.

Everybody knows that Straw's serious aggravation of the situation was intended to ensure there was no chance of a settlement this year and possibly many years to come maintaning the Status quo and British Bases.

One would almost believe that Straw's approach was designed to keep Turkey out of the EU by ensuring another dead lock.

It is not only Straw, the whole world, even Greece, is tired of the obstructionist approach of the Greek Cypriots.

I'm saying Straw got the response he was looking for to maintain the status quo.

you make two big (imo) assumptions in a small sentence.
1. the UK doesnot want turkey in the EU !!!!
2. that we will bring the process to a deadlock.

allow me to question both

Of course he knows it. He knows the Turkish chances of getting into the EU are zero. However is happy to assuage the Turkish pride (theirs two word I thought I would not see together ) by forcing a partition.
