The lesson learned is that
Imbalances can cause blackouts as well as potentially damage electricity infrastructure.


IOW: EAC is only doing its job and cutting you guys off to prevent imbalances from occurring. That being said, everyone should have the possibility to consume whatever they produce themselves.

I'm fine with my decision. As has also been said by CG, my bills are something like 10% of what they were a year ago.

I think the bitching about EAC from folk is that they've encouraged tens of thousands of people to spend thousands of Euros on installations, only for them to find the system can't cope. Wasting a percentage of the electricity they're generating.

Right on cue.

Our bill for the 2 months late Feb - Apr arrived today. Last year we used and were charged for 773Kwh for that period. This year we've used zero and have been forward credited with 190Kwh. The various standing charges mean we have to pay 36 Euros.

Can't really complain about that - cut-off times and all (yesterday we were down from 10:30- - 15:30).
