The end of the World as we know it is near.

My verdict on Trump has not been closed yet; is he mad or genius? (getting the stuff you want done, done).

Yes, he is ruthless. Indeed, there is litte doubt about that. The question still remains though: "IS THIS PLANNED?"

...such as it is, Tariffs, as he views them has and will shake us the People, all, and not just Americans the People who he has been elected to represent.

Free from Income Tax, taxed by what you buy; what is wrong with that?

...like it or not it is a bold tax idea which in effect, if handled correctly will provide greater Privacy to the Individual. Not having to expose his/her worth per se as their Income anually, the Government may still make the effort to aquire it: through Purchases it can be deduced; what is the tax, the same but already paid.

Given that Trump will be in Office a few more years i expect that this Topic wil gather more attention.

...my position has not been openly discussed yet, it is doubtful that you'll find anyone else with such an hypothesis giving it weight, but in a world of give and take, if a deal is to be made this would describe fair balance.

Trump is the EXACT opposite of genius.

Antonyms for "genius" include…

Dunce, Idiot, Imbecile, Nitwit, Moron, Blockhead, Dummy, Pinhead, Dumbbell, Half-wit, Knucklehead,
Dolt, Dope, Numbskull, Numskull, Dodo, Fathead, Goon, Amateur, Hammerhead, Nonexpert, Inexpert,
Ignoramus, Lowbrow, Simpleton, Novice, Dumbo

That’s your answer. :|

...and yet this man has been driven to change the World; having Our attention now he may earn his biggest ambition worthily: his bust too mounted on Mount Rushmore.

Seriously, what defines our Governance more, our Freedom, than our Taxation; hasn't he hit the nail right on the head?

And indeed, think about what he is proposing: a Tax between any two countries which defines between them a technological frontier to be paid in effect by its final purchaser on any good or service that may provide with its imposition a change to the socio-economic condition of both the State and the Person for their betterment. Yet not without balance can such a tax-system survive, its cost and its reason, between countries and between payers and payees. As for the taxpayer, it is a matter of their own abilities to pay it and in doing so what it represents to him/her comparing themselves to their equals in such a society. The rich will not be limited in their purchases or their producivity with such items and in its exclusivity, in many cases the tax will identify a product's value warranting perhaps a higher tax rate in the first place. Collecting both an Income Tax and introducing Tariff Law is contemptable because it is doubly charging the rate payer for their good fortune of being able to buy in the first place inviting corruption in goverment as well because collecting from both as it is now is far more about revenues than about Civil Reform. Replacing one tax for the other on the other hand will change our perception of ourselves and toward each other i think in a good way. Poor people will surely suffer from having both imposed on them (without good reasoning), and the rich will recognise these taxes for what they are and thus seek to avoid them; contempt for such a Civil State would surely grow, so too the injustice that comes from more taxes for their own sake.

...think about it. Would you rather have the Goverment "know" you from your capacities as a money maker, fixing a fee on that, or from the purchases you make with the money you have?

It is a matter of Privacy and it is a matter of our choices, it is a matter of the respect we have for one another, and it is about the motives we have when it comes to collecting Taxes in the first place.

...the "deal" is to be made, there is no going back. With something this big one imagines that it will take a long time. Let's hope he is preparing for these changes by steps, that the events we are witnessing today are only an ugly beginnig.

I guess wrecking the world does count as changing it! :?

As for his bust on Mount Rushmore... I suspect a democratic referendum would much rather have Melania’s bust!

Here’s hoping that Paphitis; who shares your enthusiasm for Trump, will come along and contribute to your thread.

Ta-ta from me.

Power, a new beginning in this case, reading material that emulates other beginnings when Men have found a humility and grace they can found upon new civility.
