Hello people who are involved with Cyprus Forum

Fantastic discussion forum - my 12 year old daughter is trying to get registered to talk to other similar aged kids to find out about Cyprus but we have no fax number to gain permission.

Please let me know what we should do.

Thanks :D

ah! BLESS!

I dunno what this fax number thing is all about, you should be alright with just an email address.

I suggest sending a PM to the moderator Svetlana who is a lovely lady who can help you further.

All the best.

Pumpernickle.

Tried that and no reply.

Still - it's worth waiting.

Thanks

Hi Niki

I am not clear what the problem is; once your daughter is registered, she can post her heart away. The only restrictriction is that she cannot send PMs until she has made some 'quality' posts. <Please ask Pumpernickle to define 'quality' LOL!>

I am sure you will warn her of the dangers of posting on the internet.

Hi Lana

When she registered we had a parental consent form to print out and fax to Cyprus forum before she would be allowed to register fully.

However it didn't have the fax number and I can't find it anywhere on the website.

She is completely aware of the internet dangers however if you think it would be risky maybe she shouldn't register.

As we are moving to Cyprus it seemed a good way to chat to other similar aged kids to see what it's like - are there any other forums?

Thanks

Niki

Hi Niki

I will contact Admin and ask about the fax number.

I suspect this Forum is safer and better regulated than most, but I am not sure ther are many teenage members here, currently.

Hi Lana

Thanks for this but maybe it would be safer to find a younger forum. I was hoping that there may have been a separate area for younger members but can see it would be difficult to control.

Hi Niki, I believe, if memory serves me correct, that the coppa registration is automatically built into the forums. I think it has something to do with US Law on protecting minors.

Seeing as this forum isn't in the USA and has no Fax number, I'd assume that it would be ok for her to register and post :)

Just for interest - are there any kids around 12 years in Cyprus who would be interested in chatting through this forum??

If there are no other kids there seems little point.
