What happens to all the talent?
Sir,
I have been a singer as long as I can remember. I sing in hotels, bars, have taken part in the odd competition but apart from that if you have any kind of talent in Cyprus you are stuck.
I feel there are no opportunities for people with talent and the only ones that actually get somewhere are the ones that appear on the Eurovision.
Anna Vissi started there and Alexia, and Evridiki and a many others.
So if I cant get on the Eurovision, how will I ever be in the right place at the right time?
Does this even exist in Cyprus?
Sure they put competitions on for people who compose songs every now and then but what about the singers of Cyprus?
There are so many.
Surely there is something Cyprus could do?
A Cyprus Pop Idol? Or Fame Academy? Everyone else has done it. If it hadn't been for Greece they would have been no talent shows at all!
And perhaps more advertisement when something like this does actually take place? I didn't hear about the Dream Show until it was too late.
Just a suggestion from a singer who wants so badly to be given a chance.
