there are run down tacky sh1t hole casinos in the north where the law permits them, but it involves paying a tenner at the toll gate and driving into kyrenia.

i cant see how casino gambling in worthwhile in cyprus. Its not allowed in the south.

if you love casinos that much and you cant do without them, then i guess online casinos are the best way forward.

If I were you i wouldnt bother going to the northern ones, as they are proper sleazy back alley joints, worthy of the lower echelons of new york's crime families.

We need a casino

Postby lysi » Sun Mar 19, 2006 3:24 pm

At last you have something decent to say pimpernipple. There is a lot of stupid greeks who go to spend there pounds in these turkish casinos in the occupied areas, thats why we need a casino in the south.

Casinos in the South worse than a second invasion

Postby pumpernickle » Sun Mar 19, 2006 5:30 pm

You must be joking Lysi.

The moment casinos open in the south, is the moment the country becomes a broken, third world sh1t hole of the lowest order. People couldnt throw their families, jobs and lives away quick enough in those places over here.

Greeks are the number one race of people most prone to becoming Degenerate Gamblers in minutes. And that's a fact. The Chinese and Koreans a vaguely close runner up.

Well those "Greeks" are funding the same people that took over half their island. Congratulations. Can they stoop any lower?

Maybe government owned casinos could be set up at the checkpoints- that way the problem gamblers will rather sink a tenner into a one arm bandit rather than help finance the occupation.

A government owned and operated casino which establishes a treatment facility from problem gamblers would be the way I would handle the situation. The government will be able to channel funds into public works and properly regulate gambling. Ignoring that gambling exisits will result in operation being conducted underground.

I totally agree with you! IN St Louis Missouri which is as big a gambling city almost as LAs vegas, the privately owned casinos agreed to contribute huge amounts of their proceeds to treatment facilities and a huge chunk to help the city's public schools with supplies and maintenance and stuff like that.
