Bringing Motorcycle to CY

Postby Leonidas » Sat Mar 18, 2006 9:01 pm

Okay please don't tell me there is another post for this subject because I can not find one even though I recall one sometime ago. :D

How much will it cost to register a 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500 cc efi? And is the cost based on retail price?

The biggest question I have is; does the CY gov allow perfomance pipes on them? It has Vans and Hines pipes. Kind of on the loud side but not like if there was no mufflers. It is the only aftermarket part I m not sure about.

If you do not know can someone please tell me where to go and get the info?

Also what kind of insurance costs would I be looking for?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Hi Leonidas

The cost will be based on the engine capacity and age;

so (85c x engine cc x 115% <VAT>) x (age of vehicle <in years> /10)

assume 1$ = 50c

Thanks Lana
I assume it is 1.15 for multilpier for VAT
I m confused. The older the bike the more is costs? If you take age divided by ten.
Does that mean 586.5 Pounds? WOW. Plus shipping it there.
I guess it all depents on the cost of a new one.

Is it concider a leagal bike there?
Could you please let me know where I can look to check on legality?

Thanks again
Leonidas.

Hope you get a raise from Admin. :D
