Personal belongings to Cyprus

Postby michalis5354 » Mon Mar 27, 2006 7:42 pm

I asked a friend of mine living in UK to send me some personal belongings 1)sunglases 2) wallet 3) a magazine , from UK to Cyprus.

Can these be sent by post? What is the best way to send them! And how much should I expect to pay approximately for the service ?

Anyone who already have had such experience ?Any advise will be appreciated!

Tell your friend to go to the post office and ask them there. It should not be very expensive. About 15 pounds.

if these were yours to begin with, you should only have to pay the mailing fees nothing else.

If the items have any value (credit cards in the wallet for instance) I personally wouldn’t trust the post office. Use a courier (UPS or DHL – not FedEx) instead.

If they have no value, just get your friend to take the package into the PO in the UK and stick stamps on it or ask them how much it will cost and check with you first…

15 pounds sounds reasonable I will not pay him more. Yes these items are mine and the wallet is empty!

It seems that I will ask him to send them by post office as I thought originally!

Thank you,
M
