Household Goods Forms

Postby greek.god » Fri Mar 31, 2006 11:27 am

I apologize in advance if this topic has been talked about, but I cannot find it in the forum. I need to know what governmental forms I need to move my household goods (no car) from Norway into Cyprus. I have found employment in Nicosia and have arranged to move my goods into Cyprus. Also, I need to declare currency importation. Any help would be appreciated as I am still awaiting news from the Cypriot Embassy in Stockholm (3 weeks and counting). Nick

We'll, I've found out why I can't get an prompt answer from the Cypriot Embassy in Stockholm. Seems a Cypriot national living in Stockholm and working in the Embassy embezzled 200,000 Euros and the Embassy is in turmoil. 200,000 is not enough money to go to prison for! What is your price for freedom if you have one?

2 million, Huh... I might consider it for 2 million, but where would I go where there is no extradition treaties. I guess I could consider side stepping my moral values for 2 million. Anybody else, remember you will not get caught! Do you have a price to violate your morals? Let's all be perfectly honest here. You will get away with 2 million plus...do you do it? :P Nick

HOw did this chat go from importing personal goods to embezzlement???

I would also be very interested in knowing what is involved in bringing household goods and money, but from the UK to Cyprus.

Hi Kira

If you wish to import a car - and not pay Import Duty on it as its is an existing personbal possession there is a form to fill in before you arrive here. There are no limits in importing money, but if you bring in more than 12,000 Euros in cash you must declare it at Customs.
