Social Services in Cyprus

Postby richaa06 » Tue Apr 04, 2006 1:59 pm

I am soon to be a qualified social worker in England. My partner is half greek cypriot (mother is cypriot) we would like to move to cyprus with our 2 young children and begin a more relaxed way of living. Does anyone know anything about the Social Services dept in cyprus??? What is it called over there?? Can I be a social worker in cyprus?? Can I do this without speaking good greek?? Does anyone know where I can find more information on this?? Thank you. :D

I don't know much about the subject but I think you will need Greek since social workers deal mostly with poor or old people who will probably speak only Greek.
