You are correct Ticklim, i have asked several questions. Forums like these are good for doing that! I last visited CY prob. about 5 years and i guess the whole place has well changed since then. Loads more concrete etc, new areas being developed so i am not upto speed. My first visit is in a couple of weeks and i am only coming over for three days, so time is precious. I want to get a portfolio of apartments/areas that i want to see. I take all your advice on board.

I wouldnt buy anywhere near camels - they stink!!!

ps. Where did you get your name from???

As I suggested earlier, if you just stopped twatting about all over the board and thought about what your needs really are we’d be better positioned to help you.

But why don’t you just take five minutes out of your hectic schedule at the playschool and write a couple of sentences that outline your needs?

The people that regularly contribute to this board would be delighted to give you their experienced views on it.

It would be so simple wouldn’t it?

simonwjones, i think cyprusgrump is right on this. You give us your requirements and we will give some suggestions to you. Then you come to Cyprus and check out for yourself before you buy. I think you will need a bit more than 3 days. I would say 2 weeks minimum.

You may find information on Mazotos on the web

1)www.mazotos.org/english/history.shtml ****General Information****
2)www.camel-park.com/ ***Camel Park ****
3)www.propertyinvestment.uk.com/Mazotos_Traditional_Village_Apartments_and_Maisonettes.html ***Properties**

4)www.fallingrain.com/world/CY/3/Mazotos.html *** Location ****

Nothing can substitute a physical inspection but since you live abroad these may be of some help!

Mazotos

Postby annecollings » Sun Apr 09, 2006 9:44 am

I don't think that Mazotos is particularly an awful place. Its not my idea of a place to live, but for a holiday it may suit some people. A big part of the (large) village of Mazotos houses MANY English people (if that's what you like! - Yes, I am english before you ask, but I don't like to live near anyone, be they english or other!!!)

If you hire a car there are many beautiful surrounding villages like Kalavasos, the fishing village of Zygi, Tochni (has a craft shop), Chirokitia which has a Neolithic settlement, Skarinou, Lefkara (lace) need I go on. There is much to see.

just a note: the Camel Park is not IN the village of Mazotos. Its on the road TO Mazotos.
And Mazotos has beaches. Some sandy ones some with pebbles. But the village is not situated ON the beach, so to say.
