There are no problems, unless you are buying a property very close to the sea then you may have to paint it more often cos of salt damage, but other than that resorts can be more expensive than inland villages but this isnt a problem if you have a car. Live by the coast and enjoy!

The main problem for you is that you are not from an EU country. It will not be easy to get a work permit here.

Main problem is the constant fear of Turkey taking all the island. That is why I live in Australia and would never return.

Now your nickname makes sense :P ;) Turkey occupying 1/3rd of Cyprus is a problem for Cypriots and not for foreigners living here. Turkey invading again now that Cyprus is in EU is something impossible.

You should be a comedian Soto Ha Ha Ha. Malaka in Australia is used widely as a joke. So you are calling me a malaka for real. I think you are for thinking that Cuprus is safe because you are in the EU WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE. So if Tukey decides to take more land or the whole island we have nothing to worry about Every one should stand infront of the tanks and scream stop because Soto said you can not do this we are in the EU now.

Andri I am Cypriot Australian.[/img]
The possibility of Turkey grabbing more land in Cyprus is less than zero.
They are more interested in finding ways of giving some back (Varosia?to begin with) without losing face.If I were malaka I'd be more worried about Indonesia taking over Australia. But I am not malaka and i don't worry about either of these propositions. I do worry however about Cypriots calling themselves Turkish and Greek, and pretend that they are something else than what they are. :(
