Hi all, I'm newly registered but have been visting this forum for a bit. Quite interesting most of the time. Became interested in the forum after meeting a quite a few Cypriots over the past several years and becoming quite close to a GC while in Greece last fall but unfortunately, that didn't last. I thought it was time that I register and participate.

Warm welcome! I did get to Cyprus last August when I was involved with a Cypriot man. He is from Limassol (spelling???) and he took me around the island. We went to Nicosia but did not cross. Agia Napa reminded me of Florida during college spring break! The island is very beautiful and I found most people friendly and warm. His mother did not like me though and made it a specific intent to let me know it at every opportunity. However, his father and sister and brother seemed fond of me and his grandmother particularly liked me. I enjoyed the island and hope to visit again.

Hope you do visit it again. You'll like it better the second time around than the first.

Don't take it personally with his mother not liking you. I guess she saw you as a threat.
