Holiday Exchange Club

Postby holidayexchange » Mon Apr 17, 2006 10:45 pm

Are you a holiday home owner?

Do you know that your holiday home can give you access to destinations around the world?

If you own your own holiday home, boat, or even caravan, and wish to use it to visit other regions of the world then register now with the Holiday Exchange Club and begin to explore locations worldwide for a fraction of the price of a package holiday.
Please be aware that any form of holiday accommodation may be exchanged with any other e.g. a villa in Tenerife may be exchanged with the use of a boat moored in the South of France.

Please note: the site, at present, has been designed to allow people to register their interest in exchanging homes. The full site will be ‘live’ from June 2006 and will include many great features to enhance your holiday exchange experience such as automated email notifications being forwarded to you when a location that you have declared an interest in becomes available.

I don't have a holiday home/boat or anything else. What I do have is an interest in what happens if your holiday home gets vandalised, damaged, things go missing etc etc etc, are you, as a company going to pay for the owners losses?
How do you vet your members on if they are suitable?
How ofted do you do checks on all properies on your books/database?

Holiday Exchange Club

Thank you for your interest in our website.

Our website works the same as many rental websites where we offer people the chance to register their properties for an exchange. Unfortunately, we have no way of vetting members, but we do encourage all of our members to form relationships with one another before entering into an exchange and we also offer help with forming contracts between the two parties which could include rules etc regarding how the properties are treated. As the two parties are 'exchanging' properties, it is our policy that memners treat the property they are staying in as they would wish their own to be treated.
We also encourage feedback after all exchanges and it is at our discresion to remove members at any time if we feel that they are not suitable.
As with renting your property out, unfortunately you have no control over the other party.
I hope this answers your question, but please feel free to get in contact if you require any further information.

Holiday Exchange

As i have already said, exchanging your property is safer than renting as each party is using each others property. If you rent your property out, how can you be sure that your property isnt going to get damaged. HOW DO YOU THINK RENTAL WEBSITES WORK, DO YOU THINK THEY INSPECT EACH PROPERTY THEY GET ON THEIR BOOKS!!!!!!

The whole point of our website is to allow the parties to develop a relationship, i.e. telephone calls, emails and even meeting up if possible, all of this is encouraged.

As owners of a holiday home ourselves, we do not rent our apartment out as we would not want it to get damaged, however we would be happy to exchange as the party using our apartment would be lettins us use theirs and therefore they should have respect for the property and treat is as they would want you to treat theirs!

If you own an overseas property, why pay to rent someone elses home or pay for a package holiday, when you can use your property as an alternative to renting it out.
