Pet Cats

Postby Kira27967 » Mon Apr 24, 2006 10:55 am

I am moving to Cyprus later this year and I have 2 cats. I am wondering if anyone out there has had a similar move and could tell me more precisely than DEFRA what is involved in making sure they will get into Cyprus ok.

I have been told that they need to be microchipped, have rabies shot, general booster shots and have to wait 21 days after rabies shot before travelling, but that is all.

All advice will be welcomed.

Hi Kira,

We brought one cat with us when we moved over. They need rabies & microchipping plus a few other things.

Speak with your vet, they'll be able to give you all th einformation.

I moved my cats from Holland to Cyprus several years back and it was a lot of hassle and cost more than my move here. But it is always best to ask your vet, they usually have the best information. Also DEFRA is quiet precise reg. the requirements
