STAFF WANTED

Postby littlemiss » Tue Apr 25, 2006 4:59 pm

Our notice in the window is not getting us anywhere so thought i would help the boss out and secretly look for staff on here for him. So if you are interested pretend you saw the notice in the window.
Car hire company looking for girl to work in Protaras office 8 - 4 can vary, 7 days a week summer season. Really good people to work for very friendly, us girls that work here spend most of our time chatting to each other. We are not talking about hard work at all, we are looking for english speaking staff as 99% of customers speak english. Its really easy and you get me to train you up must be worth it eh?
Let me know if you are intersted and we will sort something out.

I do worry when I see the sex of the propective employee defined, when cleary either sex can do the job. If it is 'girls only' the employer believes they can perpetuate the tradition of paying females poorly.

If it is 'men only', why?

Not picking on you Littlemiss, but these things bother me as I believe it holds back women in business. Sex discrimination in job advertismnets is illegal in Cyprus, but no-one bothers with that :-(

Hi Svetlana,
He is not discriminating at all, its just not many men want to do this sort of job he interviewed a man the other day but he decided against the job, we have 3 men working here already, its just the person who can sell cars at the end of the day, if a man comes along who is better than the female applicants then im in no doubt he will get the job.

Hi Littelmiss

That is good news, your original posting said the company was 'looking for a girl' which is why I mentioned the matter :-)
