Is it worth bringing inline skates on holiday to Paphos?

Postby jeremy_norbury » Sat Apr 29, 2006 10:40 am

Welcome all...

We will be in Paphos next week on holiday and I'd like to know whether it's worthwhile bringing skates and skateboards. We are staying at the Avanti Village.

So the basic questions are -
Are the pavements sufficiently smooth that they can be skated on?
Are there promenades or boulevards at the beach which we can skate on?

Thanks for any replies.

p.s. Happy Koninginnedag (Queens day)...

Hi Jerry

I don't know Avanti Village specifically but generally speaking pavements in Cyprus are poor and I would not recommend skating in the old part of town.

By the harbour there is a nice promenade that should be suitable for your needs.

Enjoy your stay

PS, Dont stick just to Paphos town, explore the villages and there are some very nice restaurants in Latchi harbour

Thanks...

Does that promenade go all the way to the south or what?
