would you take the male contraceptive pill?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

All depends on the side effects and it it affects long term sperm count but it should be ok.

My hubby has been snipped too.

Having said that the pill was great for me - no problems at all so there's no reason why it should cause side effects.

The pill doesn't suit all women so if her partner can take the 'man pill' without side effects then why not? It works both ways.

Better than an unplanned pregnancy.

I dont think i would leave that responsibility in my hubbys hands he barely remembers to move let alone to take a tablet every day! I wish he would though cos i used to hate taking the pill its always a worry if you miss one or if you are sick etc, it would be nice for men to take some of the slack for a change?

Yes that's a good point - it's not the man who gets pregnant so the motivation to remember isn't quite the same.

Sorry lads - it has to be the snip!! (can I hear a crossing of many legs over in Cyprus??)

A very good point but to be honest it depends on the couple in question.

If you want my advice, if you want to be sure he takes it, just keep reminding hm how much you want a child. Its because most women are so careful that most men just relax and leave it to you. The thought that he will be a father and have to sell his Mercedes to buy nappies will be sufficient to remind him to take it.

Your liver being destroyed isnt a big harm I dont think. Because thats what contraceptives can do to you. I would rather have messed up hormones than messed up liver...
