Nah... preferably I have only strong beers.... Pils are not that much my taste, but these are the ones I can find more easily when going out. At home or when in Germany, I have Dunkle Weizzen, Weiss, or Keller beer... (these are completely different kinds of beers than Keo/Carls/Efes/Mythos...). When available, I prefer Guiness or Hoegarden...until I start producing my own...like my wine and my zivania.... :)

Prefer draught Keo, but make sure the bar has clean pipes. Meeting Pub on Larnaca prom serves the best pint I've tasted. Keo does go"off" quicker though. Only had bottled Effees but that was quite nice.

Hallo folks, my favourite beer in Cyprus in Heineken. Its smooth and creamy. It almost melts in your mouth. And no stomach problems!

Its packaged in Greece but I dont know where it's brewed. Im wondering what other beers are in Cyprus that weve not mentioned. Stella draught. I tried a Slovenian beer recently from a Limassol distributerof Slovenian food and drink. It was really nice.

As a rule, I always try avoid canned beers. They taste of can. Urgghh!!!

Well, if im right, Heineken is also bottled in Cyprus. You may find many draught beers around Cyprus, depending where you go. I only have draught beer at places where there is a high consumption, so that it is "fresh", otherwise I get the usual bottle. Have in mind though that certain imported beers from Germany or Belgium are not supplied draught or cans and only in bottles...

We've also got draught Gold Fassl locally produced in the North to a German recipe.

It's quite palatable but as titantrigger pointed out you've got to check when the pipes were last cleaned. Mikros' policy of only drinking draught where there's a high consumption of such seems worth following too.

I've heard there are a couple of "real-ale" or "micro-breweries" in the South. Anyone with any experience of these and their products?
