Back to Cyprus

Postby kodo » Fri May 05, 2006 2:28 am

I decided to bring my son and daughter to Cyrpus for a long visit. This will be my first time back in fifteen years and their first time to the island. They are 10 and 12. Been told there a lot of changes. Can anyone add specifics? Will be much appreciated.

are you planning to go to the north, the south or both? Cause I personally know nothing about the north life.

We will be all over the south. No plans to go north.

Also will there be any difficulties for my Cypriot-American children? They both speak excellent Greek, something my wife insisted upon which now I am glad but am concerned about other things for them.

Well in the south there is more develpment as far as nightlife and cafes and stuff like that going on along with a bunch of EU citizens moving there. Its not in any way much worse than it used to be 15 yuears ago just much more developed.

with two pre-teenagers, I doubt if I will be experiencing the nightlife. My son loves skateboard parks and my daughter will want to check out the shops. Can't say I ever really cared about shopping but remember my wife saying that the shopping left much to be desired.
