Just moved here looking to buy a new car, in England I had a Land Rover Freelander and the wife had a Ford Focus, anyone out there know what we should pay for these cars here and how to get the best price? thanks

Hi John

My suggestion is that you you rent a car for a week or so, before deciding. Also, what 'lifestyle' do you envisage? If you will live at the end of a long dirt track a 4x4 may be essential. If you are going to do building workon your own place or as a profession, then a doublecab.

I think only you can what vehicle will be suitable. I would suggest you seriously consider an automatic, which is very suitable for driving conditions here.

Many 'Europeans' feel the need to have a 4 wheel drive here, I suspect more on image than on need.

Hello, What s the conditions ? automatic is for city driving, its more comfortable in traffic.

Automatic will be better to sell the car because for a right hand drive its not very nice to change gear with the left hand, its why most of the right hand drive cars are automatic. Automatic is better for big city driving.

Its true, for the 4 wheel drive about the image, but its not only european, look the car size in usa !

And if you want buy the same cars but used, than you had in uk that will cost you about 1.5 the price in uk.
