Hi
does any one know of a place in Pafos that takes children for Greek lessons during the summer holidays?

Many Thanks

I have been advised that learning Greek via books/CD is not really the best way as Cypriot is very much more dialect based than text-book Greek.

Is this correct or is learning it a good base to start from.

WELL SINCE EVERY ONE SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND BOTH GREEK AND CYPRIOT THESE DAYS IT DOESN'T RELLY MATTER WHAT YOU LEARN.

I LEFT CYPRUS AS A 4 YEAR OLD YEARS AGO AND HAVE JUST RETURNED AND ALL I SPEAK IS HEAVILY DIALECT CYPRIOT WITH COMPLIMENTS TO MY MUM, AND I'M GETTING BY WELL ENOUGH............. JUST FIND IT A BIT HARD UNDERSTANDING TEXT BOOK GREEK THOUGH. SO YOU MIGHT FIND IT DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND PEOPLE FROM THE VILLAGES (IF YOU LEARN VIA CD ETC), BUT THEY'LL UNDERSTAND YOU.
