Paid in England but live in Cyprus - help needed!

Postby bungle » Mon Jun 05, 2006 2:14 pm

My friend is considering a job offer from a company in England (paid in GBP) and is classifed as a non resident for tax purposes in the UK as she lives/works in Cyprus all year. Like most of us she wants to pay as little tax as possible and doesn't want to be taxed twice. Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid paying too much tax in the UK please? Thx!

No problem; she can be paid in the UK free of tax. She should contact the IR section responsible for overseas residents and complete the forms required to benefit under the Double Taxation Agreement.
