Hi guys,

I was just wondering what you think is the best option when moving to CY.

I will have more baggage than i am allowed including a box and was thinking of posting it which is arround 40 GBP. But then i remembered that Cyprus airways can probably take it if i can just get it all to the airport.

Anyone know their prices? or use CA for packets or cargo? good idea or bad?

The last few times we have travelled with CA we have been charged £5 per kilo excess baggage and recently got caught for £90 coming out from UK

Their website didn't have any price info but i called and they recommend going with the cargo. Its cheaper.

I think all airlines make it up as they go along – being polite at check-in works wonders in my experience!

The time we moved out here permanently we checked-in at Heathrow with 125Kg of baggage (including a shotgun) and didn’t get charged a cent. We also air freighted a whole load of stuff that we needed to set-up home before our container arrived.
