U kno, this man is greater than the praise he has been given, through the whole mama's boy thing and Everybody's Automatic assumption that Nadal would see Federer in the final. I've always hated Nadal, I thought he was a young punk, he is a great player but that doesn't stand in the way of what I think of him as a person and suprisingly many others agreed with me when I thought I would be badgered for saying that. Baghdatis has the personality and throughout the whole match even though he could not entertain the crowd so much with a lead or a win, he was still able to please them with his personailty. He is an excellent player and now that he knows well how Nadal plays their next encounter will be in favor of Baghdatis who fought hard. Congradulations Baghdatis!

One of the guys I work with knows Baghdatis and his family. He is meant to be a genuinly nice guy. Personally, if I saw him in the street, I wouldn't have a clue who he is.

That little girl in the stands is his little sister believe it or not!

Marcos had a poor first set, but was excellent in the second and third sets. On another day it could have been very different.

Well done Marcos!

totally agreed...after watching just yesterday my 1st impressions of him were: a great player but a tosser. little things like chucking the towel at the ballboys/girls...who the f*ck does he think he is?? which is also a delaying tactic doing it every 2 points.

that 2nd set was crucial, if Marco had taken that it would've been much closer. fantastic match nonetheless. next year he'll be back stronger ;)
