In relationships much as anything else in life, you get what you put in. Unfortunately, I am of the opinion that Cypriot men treat women like they do for a lot of reasons. Cypriot women get treated the way they do because they are too submissive and wont speak up for themselves;if you let someone treat you like crap and not stand up for yourself of course they will keep treating you like that till the end of time.
Female tourists a lot of the time, come on vacation to get some sun and have some fun. Them and Cypriot men have an understanding that its not gonna turn into marriage. Everyone gets something out of it.
I dont know what your problem is with Cypriot men and what was done to you and by whom, but you need to look a little bit closer to home. Set the limits on how you want to be treated, treated others that way and thats what you will get. Otherwise, dont whine.

I would rather be weird in your eyes , meaning self-conscious, than an idiot . It'sad to see that you don't have any interesting opinions on the world or anything else. how can you say that somebody is weird without even knowing somebody . this points to another clue that you are so self-rigtoeus or just having a game on this site to show how good you are with judging other poeples' expressions . The men cannot be all that bad can they? I went out with a Cypriot when we were studying in the USA and he kept challenging me to out-drink him. I ended up ditching him on the date. He was no good but that was just him. Now I have met a wonderful Cypriot man last month. We have been messaging and emailing.

I want to start planning to go back to see him. But some friends warned me against it and from what I read here, it is not a good picture of Cypriot men.
