Estate Agency-Wanted

Postby Limassolean » Sun Jul 09, 2006 4:19 am

Looking into taking over an established Estate Agency in Limassol.

Perhaps taking over the office facilities and office running obligations from a retiring operator,

or someone who's just moving on from the industry.

Trouble is they make so much money 5% plus selling houses that you will find it difficult to find a business for sale!!

People get in and out of all the kinds of industries for many and various reasons.

The most common reason for geting out is Age. Retirement.

This is what i am looking, for someone who wants to pass the it, to a new generation of operators.

All I am saying is a lot of the businesses here are family owned, and as such pass onto the next member of the family coming up.

Superior Real Esate (HPL Ltd) were trying to franchise off some of its offices, but how they overcome the licensing issues I do not know.

Hi Limassolean

You'll find an article about this subject at http://www.cyprus-property-buyers.com/p ... /art02.htm

Basically you either have to be a registered agent or employed by a registered agent.

But the law is a farce - there are many expats flouting it who haven't got a clue what they're doing.

Cheers,
