EXPAT SECOND HAND FURNITURE

Postby jazzy1 » Thu Jul 13, 2006 3:58 pm

Hi Peeps

My Husband came over to Cyprus last week and found a fantastic place in Larnaca for us to rent, I am so chuffed. we have paid for the year and got a fantastic price.
I am soooooo happy.
The landlord is great a really nice guy.
The Estate agent was brilliant and took my Husband to the water and electricty board to change over the details and spent alot of time with them after they had signed the contract.
We managed to get some nice beds (although over priced) we a small discount and they were delivered that day!!! We have been more than impressed so far with everything.

Only thing is we hunted around the Larnaca furniture shops for things like sofas and dining tables (modern and unusal ones) and it seems so expensive for what you get compared to the UK with not much choice.

We have heard that there is a paper full of classifieds advertising second hand furniture from people packing up and leaving the country and most of it goes cheap.
But we do not know what it is called, does anyone know of this?

cheers guysxx

Hey Snad.

This would be fantastic.
Is this about 15 mins from Larnaca town?

Sorry for the questions but have you been there.
It seems that the furniture we have seen so far in Larnaca has been very old fashioned.

Thanks again x

A blooming bargain there!!!

I have seen a few websites and things are way more expensive in Cyp than over here in UK.

Do they have a website at all? Or contact number?
