A simple search on google for "Land for sale in Cyprus" will throw up a number of relevant sites.

Martin,

For that you need to be 'on the ground' yourself, or have a contact in situ.

It's a long process - I know from experience

You might be better off going via a local agent, explaining exactly what you want and accepting that you are paying a premium. When the agent has sourced a number of plots then visit to look at them, and haggle !.(accepting that as an outsider you will always pay more - true of any country in the world).

Buying land can be very tricky here without local knowledge: you will need to know the building density, zoning, access rights, cost of getting water/electricity to the plot, building restrictions etc

The other great danger is you are shown a plot - which has no distinguishing boundries, buy it and then find it is not as described (smaller/different).

Martin,

Check out: www.cyprus-property-buyers.com

hosted by Nigel Howarth, a regular contributor, and purchase his e-book guide to buying in Cyprus, which covers the land issues mentioned by Svetlana.

It could save you from making expensive mistakes. I found it invaluable.
