RichardB - Well it's no wonder that holiday makers get a bad view of the area with people like you around. You seem to have a very jaded view of a very nice area.

Jamiie - July will be lovely and hot so no worries about the tan.
The beaches are lovely, there are local shops, bars and restaurants in Coral Bay aimed at tourists and supermarkets in the surrounding villages of Pegeia and Chloraka.
The local bars offer both karaoqe and live acts.
I believe that the drinking age is 17 but in all honesty unless you look 12 you'll be fine.
Yes most people speak English as well as Greek, infact something like 95% of the popluation.
Yes 2 waterparks, 1 in Pafos and 1 nearby in Limassol - not sure about life guards but would think so.
Buses are very cheap and regular but taxis will cost a fortune (there is a reason they all drive Merc's).
The more elderly holiday makers do come to the Coral Bay area but tend only to come in the cooler months, not at the height of summer when you will be here.
Re Hot People - you'll have to decide but we're not all muppets!
Enjoy your holiday.
In short it's a damn sight better than RichardB's run down, grotty blackpool.
