5* Hotel recommendations?

Postby jas » Thu Aug 24, 2006 11:45 am

Can anyone recommend a good 5* hotel in the South? We have been to the Elysium and The Intercontinental and want to try somewhere different, has anyone been to a good one recently?

Thanks!

Annabelle in Paphos is quiet nice. Le Meriden is way to clinical. The stark white walled corridors remind me of a hospital and the golf buggies of gurnies in a mental instituition.

Golden bay in Laranca is a 5*. Palm Beach if 4* with 5* facilities.

Aenas in Ayia Napa is ok. But HUUUUUGE! Grecian Bay is an old favourite.

Anassa. That hotel is pretty. Built in the Akamas where there should be no buildlings (but hey its investors have something to do with the Government here). Only trouble with it, you can walk for about 20mins and not bump into another guest. It is a perfect hotel for a recluse.....

When I was there 3 years ago, it was about CYP300 per night for a room.

The rack rate for the Burj Al Arab is 1000 CY pounds a night - for the basic suite - but there is nothing basic about the suite! It is just a wondrous place!

Burj Al Arab

What is this??? In Limassol the best ones are Amathus, Four Seasons and Le Meridien.
