Baghdatis Vs. ANDRE AGGASSI Marcos can MAKE HISTORY

Postby Fisherman2006 » Tue Aug 29, 2006 7:51 pm

Baghdatis Moves on to vs. Andre aggassi with the potential to MAKE HISTORY. Andre hasnt been playing so well and barely hung on to his first round match against an unranked player. Baghdatis however is ranked 8th and is a favorite for the upcoming match. This is Andres Last TOurnament before he retires. Baghdatis could be the last man to vs. and beat the legend andre agassi. Although I am an american (cypriot american) and a fan of andre I will still cheer for baghdatis and hopew for him to win because he is still young and has a whole carreer ahead of him. Andre had a great career and I respect him for that. So GO BAGHDATIS. KEEP MAKING US PROUD!!

Ps. Im trying to get tickets but all i kno is that the match is thursday. does anyone know if its a night or day session?

Considering it is Andre Agassi and he is a massive crowd puller in the States, the match will most probably be played at night. Under the lights, Americans believe that at this time of the day, being cooler, he has a better chance of winning. Also, they will get more viewers at this time.

Agassi did well beating Pavel; you call Pavel an unranked player but he is also very talented and well-respected in the game; so don't under-estimate Andre just yet! Beating Pavel shows that he has life in the old bones yet!

Of course I am rooting for Baghdatis, and hope he can make it into the 3rd round.

COME ON MARCOS!!

I saw yesterday the match Agassi-Pavel...Pavel wins the first, then he lost hard in the second, and in the third he had 4-1...Finally,Agassi wins, but Pavel is a tired player, with many health-problems at 32 years.I think that a fresh Baghdatis will win,but he must be attention in the final of the set,Agassi doesn t give up easily, especially he will retire after US Open.I think that all America want he win this open! It is hardly for Marcos, but it is not impossible.I wish he win.Go ahead,Marcos, Romania is with you!

Ugh.. this isn't looking good. He needs emotion, he needs motivation. There are thousands of americans overpowering his fans I fell like he deserted on the court. Its terrible. He could do so much better, he can OUTPLAY agassi I know it. Its not over lets cheer him on from the inside!

agassi played awsome!...but man baghdatis, my man, wat an incredible comeback. down 2 sets to 1 and loosing 4-0 in the 4th set, breaks twice to comeback at 4-4 then breaks again to serve it out and win 7-5. Now we are at 2 sets to all Marcos pulls both thigh muscles and is limping on the court and cannot receive medical attention he still manages to limp his way and tie the set up to 5-5, then loosing at 7-5. But agassi held him the whole time, i mean both players, amazing,....
