My dear Saravakos.

You do not know the facts.

I was heavily involved in this area in an official capacity.

Mr Elefterios Kouvaritakis made the decision under orders from the Greek ministry.

Saying any more than that, my privacy will suffer

Actually my best friend from college was from Crete and the rest of Cypriots shunned me for it. When I would talk to them the answer I would get was "why don't you go hang out with the kalamarades". I have not a problem being Cypriot, I actually love it. But if GCs erase their Greekness and TCs erase their Turkishness we wont be who we are anymore. For us to go forward we need to embrace and accept each other for who we are.

Really what was your department? Mine was Computer Science, oh the fun we had...
Bravo for escaping the Cypriot vortex  , however a Cretan is the closest thing one can find to a Cypriot, so you didn't really go too far

It was Department of Technology of Production but I believed it has changed its name. Yes, you are right a Cretan is pretty close to a Cypriot but not quite. MY boyfriend at the time was from Larissa and my roommate was from Athens. I also have 2 friends I met back then, that I still keep in touch with. Oh yes, the fun we had!
