Hi Sarah

I am really suprised by what you have heard: I have had a hospital stay and operation here and it was fine, albeit I shared with a Cypriot and every visiting time meant there were 30 people in the room; half of them looking for an ashtray, while the other half fought for the TV remote so it could be turned up to full volume, so they could hear it over the shouting!

The dentist I have is superb: Cypriot but trained in Sweden.

Maybe you came across some whinging ex pats* fuelled by alcohol who so greatly admire the UK NHS - if that was where they came from

(* My Lawyer has asked that I point out that that this remark does not apply to Forum member 'Ex Pat' but merely to the generic species 'whinger ex patios' LOL!)

Hi C-M

Cost for a couple, late 50s, say CY£750pa pre-conditions will not be covered.

Thanks Lana, less than they're paying in France anyway.

As for UK dentists, despite currently being on a student income (i.e. low), I have no access to an NHS dentist and thus go private. My dentist is great and the charges aren't too bad, it's certainly better than spending days on the phone seeking out an NHS one.
