Am planning to visit Cyprus in April. Was going to come with a friend, but that doesn't seem to be working out, and I need to save some money on the hotel. Can anyone give me suggestions of a cheaper places to stay in Larnaca? Looking for someplace clean, safe and with a good location (kind of central to places to go). It is possible I might want to spend some time in Limassol and / or Pafos as well.

The Crown Resort "Henipa" is on Dhekelia Rd, short bus ride into larnaca and right across the street from the beach. It's an "ok" hotel, no real frills, rooms are basic. We stayed here while waiting for our flat to be ready. In April we paid i think around 25 quid a night on a double occupancy. Give them a call or an email www.crownresorts.com

Though the Henipa isn't a bad hotel, there is nothing around it, no shops, no bars. Just a restaurant across the Rd with the Firestation on the other side of the Rd. Better off with Princess Beach Hotel where even if you go on your own, you don't get lonely there, or at least, I never did when I used to go there on my own.

SunHall hotel isnt too bad either
Id say stick to the city centre

Sunhall on the sea front is the most central. The ones on Dhekalia are a bus/taxi ride away. From the sunhall you can walk to most places.

In the city of Larnaca is 3* www.flamingobeachhotel.com . Also in there price they include free use of internet in rooms or public areas. But is not the cheapest one.

Recently a friend stayed at the Cactus Hotel in Larnaca and found it to be very good and extremely convenient to all places in Larnaca. The cost for a single room was under C£20 a night.
In Limassol the Continental is a no frills hotel right on the seafront and certainly OK on a budget. They don't overcharge for single occupancy either.

The petrou hotel apts quoted me 24pnds per night (summer rates) and although we never stayed there when we walked past it looked great.

Just found this message in the archives - wondered whether you could give me the low down on these places?! These apartments are quoting pretty cheap rates but it makes me nervous! I know that's bad! Maybe it's just early in the season band it's good to get tourists in but if you say it was good I'm hopeful... so I'm assuming the place was decent, modern and clean?
