Anna Vissi

I'm a big big fan of hers, so you can imagine my delight when I put it on Sigma last night to see there was a recording of one of her concerts being shown. I always knew she was an entertainer, but not quite as much as what I had seen. She had the crowd eating out of her hand by mingling with them, talking to them, getting them invovlved with the songs, even talking to "foreigners".

I've not been one of the lucky one to manage to go to one of her concerts unfortunately.

Now if anyone has any dates or ideas on when Anna Vissi will have a concert here in Cyprus, it would be greatly appreciated if you can let me know:)

I know its all plastic surgery and facelifts, but boy, she still looks fantastic for a 50year old!

I've heard of Deacon Blue and respect their music. What do you think of the Levellers?

Dinos,
Yes i have heard of the Levellers, they are a great band,i think i read somewhere that they have a 6 gig tour comming up in the uk in the month of April, its a shame they dont get as much publicity compaired to some of the other bands as they deserve as they have wide audience following and appeal to all age groups.

There's generally an inverse correlation between music that's worth listening to and music that's driven to popularity by greed. Unfortunate, but true. I won't be able to make it to the Levellers shows in April unfortunately.

I haven't had much luck finding Anna Vissi dates so far. Will come back if I find anything.

Just to put another question out there, has anybody heard of Azam Ali? She'll have a song on the Nativity Story soundtrack, to add a little perspective, but has also been on other soundtracks like The Matrix. Also known for work with Niyaz and Vas. Wonderful talent and worth a listen if Indo-Persian crossover makes it into your music collection at all.
