How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Well, she can play all the games she wants, and she can fornicate with as many settlers as she wants.

First of all I couldn't care less if you close the passages, I never indent to visit my own country by showing a passport.
Second, Turkey needs the EU 100 times more than EU needs Turkey. If Turkey gets rejected in the end a chain reaction can follow that will cost Turkey much more than the EU or Cyprus.

I am not convinced it will cost Turkey more than Cyprus. Turkey can get over its EU ambitions but Cyprus needs a settlement, to solve issues like refugees, missing persons, property issues, etc. There are organizations Greek Cyprus wants to join that Turkey is blocking. It works both ways.

You don't suppose there's a 'settler' currently on this list who we could ask?

I guess you should stay in Greek Cyprus then.

Is it just me or is the only way TCs can be satisfied is by bending the law?

no its just you. we dont bend rules, G/C taking over the cyprus govt in 1964 evicting t/c deputies and depriving us of any political power is a perfect example of bending the rules.

Kelebek you have to understand what Turkey is to be able to predict its future.Turkey is a military power totally dependent on another military power the USA. Economically both the USA and Turkey are totally bankrupt either you beleive it or not. What makes the USA the number 1 power at the moment is just the "fear" and the "impression" of the rest of the world.IT'S NOTHING REAL! It will not take much time for the truth to surface. Just look at the budget deficit of the US. The budget of their Ministry of Defence is ALL upto the last cent coming from borrowing.
And where do you think they are borrowing from? EUROPE!!!!
Each time the big secret is about to surface the US makes a new prestidge war (always guaranteed). Now they are trying to get free oil from Iraq. Lets see if that will ever start flowing...They want Turkey into the EU not because they love Turkey, but because it's their last chance to get back some of the money Turkey ows them. Turkey outside the EU will lead to exposure of the US bankruptcy so the only two options will then be a) to split Turkey into small pieces as to have a deal for the oil with the new Kurdish state, or b) let themselves lose the world power game. Guess which one of the two is most likely.

PS. By the way you never told us. What do you prefer top or bottom?

Ok while I agree with some of what you are saying it is not strictly relevant to the topic of this thread. I was proposing a possible solution to the property problem that would in effect mean everybody can go home and settlers could also be accommadated, an end to a very large chunk of the Cyprus problem.

But as usual, the mere idea of sharing a condominium with Anatolians Turkish huns seems to physically repulse some people on this site, probably due to an underlying xenophobic / islamaphobic agenda, no names mentioned! These people could learn alot from being forced to live with Turks ....much needed reconciliation for one. Hell, it might even heal a few wounds.

I prefer top of course!
