What area around Larnaca region would you recommend if you were wanting somewhere to settle that is peaceful, quiet and beautiful and a best type of house to settle in?

Any helpful tips on settling in Cyprus?

Oroklini is nice but getting HUGE!! Close to beach, nice village, friendly people (both Cypriot and Brits) however everywhere you look there are apartment buildings popping up. like i said, getting huge

drosia is ok in places... mainly greek but good size houses,quiet in most parts good local shops & not far from town. also be prepaired to work but the pace of life is a lot better plus the weather is a bonus.

Thanks - very helpful. Would you say they were pretty - trees, gardens etc? When you say be prepared to work - would you say the cost of living is getting higher? What sort of work is available?
